Parent Participation

EBJ welcomes parents...and grandparents, aunts and uncles!

Parents can expect teachers to work closely with them to ensure the best experience for their child. They are welcome in the classrooms to lead a cooking project, supervise some woodworking, demonstrate a trade, play an instrument, take a walk with the group, or simply curl up to read a story to a few snuggling children.

Parent conferences are held twice a year for in depth communication about their child.

Parent and family programs are offered and new ideas for bringing families together at EBJ are always welcome. Pot luck dinners, pizza parties, and children’s concerts are opportunities for EBJ family time.

Parents serve on the EBJ Board and volunteer for committees. As a small, non-profit program, fundraising is an EBJ community undertaking, a time for parents to work toward a common goal while forming lasting friendships with other EBJ families.
